Normally around this time of year when it comes to holiday movie releases for kids the offerings can get kind of limited. Now is the time when Hollywood studios are jockeying for date positioning for premiering their Academy Award contenders. Occasionally you will see a handful of kid friendly movies to take advantage of this shortage, well this year those of us with families or are just happen to be fans of the animated children movies there will be a full boat on your movie schedule this holiday season.
The kids holiday movie season has gotten an early jump this year with the release of the first of two films being put out by Walt Disney Studios, A Christmas Carol here is the trailer for your enjoyment in case you have been in a cave lately and have not seen all the commercials for it.
OK now the second film of five for this holiday season is the one that I am personally looking forward to just because it looks like a funny spin on the whole invasion of aliens. Planet 51 and here is the trailer for that one.
Moving right along this next one looks a bit on the quirky side which would explain why George Clooney is lending his voice to this one as he seems to enjoy doing the off beat comedy. Here is the trailer for the Fantastic Mr. Fox.
The fourth of the five holiday kid movies being released this year is the second entry from Walt Disney Studios and this one promises to be very special and if I was a betting man will be the top ticket getter of these five movies this year. Here we are the fifth and final kids movie of the 2009 holiday season and this one is the favorite pick for my wife who loved the first film and is really looking forward to bringing our kids to this sequel. Here is your fifth and final trailer for Alvin And The Chipmunks 2 The Squeakuel.
