Thor Eyes Late ‘08 Start

Director Matthew Vaughn says his feature film version of Marvel Comics’ Thor won’t go before cameras until late 2008 due to the current strike by the Writers Guild of America.
In a chat with British newspaper The Daily Mail, Vaughn also suggested that Thor would be shot in the U.K. rather than stateside.
“We have the A-list actors, designers, cinematographers and crew in Britain, so there’s no need to make Thor among all that madness in Los Angeles,” Vaughn said.

The Daily Mail claims “Thor will be a mammoth, $100 million boost for our film industry.”
